The Spanish Halbert

The Spanish Halbert by Marto of Toledo Spain is a reproduction of a 16th century Halbert used by the Spanish infantry of that time, fighting in the feared tight formation called "tercio". The handle of the Spanish Halbert by Marto is made of wood, ornated with fringed fabric plumes. The Spanish Halbert by Marto head is made in cast metal with a frontal axe head, with double curved edge, a rear talon and a central straight spike. The etched floral motif decorations denote that this Spanish halbert is a parade arm.
